Found an open spot in the dense forest to study the flanged buttresses of these massive trees that are decorated with lichen and a moss patchwork. Butterflies would sometime taste the paper while canopy foraging spider monkeys would “accidentally “ drop fruit me. I often work in these conditions in a “wet on wet on dry technique”. Which means dropping colour into a wet shape on the dry paper. Everything is very humid so i reduce the amount of water in the wash. Favourite part of the day is listening to the toucans and rainforest sounds as the sun quickly sets.
